Britain vs Britain

Pro GB football campaign

Our angle:

We decided to try and use English Welsh and Scottish rivalry to our advantage by saying that we should harness this passion against each other and use it against opposing teams i.e. France, in the olympics among other leagues.

We realised that this could work seeing as theres already inter-team rivalry which goes on in football, so it wasn't a completely new concept which people couldn't grasp.

Campaign:

Our campaign consists of an app, TV advert, print and website.
Along side these there will be head rest tissues designed with our logo and the British Welsh and Scottish flag on one side, and the GB flag on the other.

These print ads would be used as a teaser for the TV ad which explains the story behind what each man is aiming for.

The website is to show the app progression in rivalry.
Idea behind the App:
Each person downloading the app would be able to row for their country at sites across the UK with rowing machines or do it at home. This would show a slow progression to brazil (where the 2014 world cup will be held) - We all have the same goal but we all want to be the side of the country that gets there first.

VMC Lecture

Sex in Avant-Garde lecture
First things first my mac doesn't even like the word sex. I don't know how it's going to deal with "controversial" art from the 19th century.

It's interesting how people can make fabrics into a you a "touch me now" statement. Or is it simply because there was so much sexual tension from art and behaviour artists that we are trying to sexualise everything that they do and wear.

I'm sure silk and velvet is innocent enough.
